Perlite Sand
Perlite is an amorphous volcanic glass that has a relatively high watercontent, typically formed by the hydration of obsidian. It is an industrial mineral and a commercial product useful for its natural, non-organic, insulating, fireproof, and pest-proof. It can be used in many industries.
Application
Horticulture Material
Perlite sand is applied in the horticulture as substrate mixtures. It often mixed with peat, vermiculite, pumice, zeolite. It is neutral, good-drainage and breathability.
Aquarium Landscaping
Perlite sand can be put in the bottom of the aquarium tank. It is neutral, clean, durable in the water. Let water plants grow in a natural environment. Make landscaping easier.
Insulation Product
Perlite insulation is used in high temperature applications in the steel and foundry industries such as molten metal ladle topping, hot topping and risering, in topping compounds, in exothermic and insulating shapes, as a cushioning agent, in molding sand and in the manufacture of refractory blocks and bricks.
